Introduction - Translating Academia

Welcome -

The intention of this blog is to present some of the concepts and discussions that occurred throughout the last ten weeks in WGSS 476 (Transnational Sexuality) in a way that merges academia with other theoretical methodologies. This work will constitute a series of posts which blend theory with creative, blog-style writing. My hope for this curation is to take some of the more nuanced and scholarly aspects of our coursework, including our conversations on topics like flexible imperialism, sexual definition, and reflexivity in relation to existing power relations, and bring them into a conversation that is more accessible and offers multiple modalities.

You can expect to see varied types of posts, including longer academic posts, photos, quotes, videos, and more. Some things may be directly related to assignments or discussions from our course, while others may be more loosely related. Feel free to jump around and choose what looks most interesting to you.
